LeBron vs. Klay: Whose Home Is the Slam Dunk?

Before the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors face off on the court, here’s a real estate face-off between two of their best players’ homes: the waterfront mansion LeBron James is selling in Miami and the Spanish-style compound Klay Thompson just bought in Orange County.

Vote below for the home that scores more points with you.

Who could resist a multi-colored pool with ocean views? That’s what LeBron is giving up with the (pending) sale of his 12,178-square-foot mansion and guesthouse on the water in Miami.

The home includes a rooftop deck and water parking for two 60-foot yachts, in case a king needs to see other parts of town.

Indoors, there are 6 bedrooms, 8.5 baths, a home theater and an elevator, according to the Los Angeles Times, which broke the story that a sale is near. There’s also a lounge for relaxing after a big game or just a day at the beach.

Listing agent Tomi Rose of Opulence International Realty is wrapping up the deal. The most recent price tag was $15 million, down $2 million from his original asking price last fall. It’s not certain what the buyer is paying for this view from the covered patio:

Klay’s Splashy Villa in Orange County

The Thompson half of Golden State’s “Splash Brothers” (the other is Stephen Curry) recently scored his own home near the water, but it’s on the other coast and has a Spanish flair.

Klay just bought this compound with a large private courtyard that includes a pool and a spa.

The Spanish-style estate on a third of an Orange County acre comes with two guest casitas and a 100-foot-wide patio facing the Pacific Ocean, according to the Los Angeles Times, which broke news of the sale.

Inside the 2,433-square-foot home are 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, including a master suite with two bathrooms and ocean views. The great room features a bar, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and walls of windows facing the courtyard.

The listing agent was Michael Boyd of Coldwell Banker Residential Mortgage.
