Dedicated though torch-singing superstar Adele is to her native England, she has snagged a 4-bedroom, 6-bath property in Beverly Hills for when she and her family are on this side of the pond - writing Oscar-winning movie themes such as “Skyfall,” winning multiple Grammys, playing Radio City Music Hall and the like.
The gated property features a 6,600-square-foot home with a two-story foyer that includes a library on the second level, plus a backyard ideal for entertaining neighbors such as Sofia Vergara and Channing Tatum. Strung with white lights, the yard is a California paradise with a pool, a spa and a gazebo - plus a dog run - set among flagstones and hedges.
Adele paid $9.5 million for the property, as first reported by TMZ. The listing agent was Juliette Hohnen of Douglas Elliman.
The home’s exposed beams and wide-plank floors give it a rustic look, while built-in bookcases and window seats provide cozy places for lounging. There are two formal living rooms with enough space for a grand piano and Adele’s awards, plus a formal dining room and an expansive kitchen-and-breakfasting area with French doors that open onto the yard.
Upstairs are four bedrooms, including a master suite with two closets, and a bonus room used by the previous owners as a gym.
The estate is located near hiking trails and is sugar-borrowing distance from Jennifer Lawrence’s home.
