Maui chef and restaurateur Bev Gannon and her husband, former music producer Joe Gannon, have listed their nearly 7-acre estate on Maui for $3.8 million.
Built in 1938, the sprawling home originally belonged to a plantation manager for the Maui Land and Pineapple Co., known for changing the shape of pineapples from round to “square-shouldered” so less fruit was lost in canning.
The home boasts high, exposed-beam ceilings and an expansive gourmet kitchen with a double oven, a farmhouse sink and a generous center island. Many rooms in the light-filled home feature walls of glass, and glass doors open onto the manicured lawn and garden.
Even an upstairs hallway, soaking tub and rainforest shower offer sweeping views of the acreage and its water lily pond, fruit trees, herb gardens and storybook Banyan tree.
