Midwest vs. New England: What $250,000 Buys in Each Region

New England and the Midwest each have their pricey cities. In Chicago, $250,000 can get you a 2-bedroom condo, while in Boston, you’ll be lucky to get a 1-bedroom for the same price.

While it might be tough to find a single-family home in either of these cities at this price, you don’t have to venture far to fix that. In neighboring cities, it’s possible to find a house to call home for approximately $250,000. The question remains, though: Who does it better, the Midwest or New England?
