When it comes to Valentine’s Day, you don’t have to go over the top to show someone you care. With just a little extra attention to detail, you can create a special surprise that will make their day.
Best of all, you probably already have almost everything you need.
- Start with a basic supermarket bouquet containing a few types of flowers and some greenery.
- Trim the stems. Then use tape to create a grid across the top of a simple glass jar or other vessel.
- Arrange the flowers and greenery, feeding the stems into the holes between the tape strips, which will help hold the blooms in place.
- Roll down the top of a brown paper lunch bag.
- Place the jar inside the bag.
- Wrap household twine around the bag and tie it in a bow.
- Cut a few hearts out of pink or red Post-It notes (or any paper you have on hand).
- Make your Valentine’s favorite breakfast and serve it on a tray with the vase of flowers and a scattering of hearts.
Delight your Valentine by taking a blah bouquet to beautiful for this breakfast-in-bed spread!
